Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or PDF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript handling fee

African Society of Food Science & Technology (ASoFoST) is a non-government agency (NGO) and does not receive funding from any society/institution/government. Again, as an open access publisher, ASoFoST does not receive payment for subscription as the journals are freely accessible on the internet. This implies that financing the journals is solely through handling fees received from authors for operational cost.

Payments are only made after authors manuscripts have been accepted for publication. ASoFoST grants 30% waivers to all its registered members.
